The best way to add value to your semi-trailer truck is to accessorize it. While these words may seem like a sales pitch by an accessory dealer, the fact is that often the first thing noticed by a potential customer for a trucker's services is his equipment. If the truck, or the whole fleet for that matter, looks well kept and attractive, the impression of that business is positive. This is true for a tow operator, fruit and produce distributor, over-the-road hauler, even sanitation pick-up and septic tank services.
Pride in a job well done and concern for customer service is reflected in the way a big rig is maintained. This can accomplished with a simple but well thought out paint job, and can go to the extreme with elaborate lighting and chrome accessories. For example, semi truck wheels can be simply painted and decorated with lug nut covers, or they can be covered with a variety of wheel accessories like axle covers or complete stainless simulators. A more expensive choice would be aluminum wheels with stainless axle covers and lug nut covers.
Increase Safety and Looks with LED Lights
Lighting is another method of displaying pride in your ride. Besides adding to the safety factor, today's LED lights use a minimum of amperage and deliver a big wallop. A trucker can use ten times the number of lights than in past years, and yet not draw any more power from the battery. LED lights are available in a large variety of styles and colors, and can be installed in unusual places on the vehicle - in wheel wells, in the grille, on a visor and in air breathers.
Big Rig Accessories Make Long Hours Behind the Wheel Enjoyable
Other standard equipment - fenders, bumpers, tool boxes, exhaust pipes, mud flaps - can be left in stock condition, but are often seen in chrome and stainless. These all contribute to a fine public image of your truck. Interior accessories, while not necessarily visible to the public, also give a sense of pride of ownership and make the long hours spent in the cab more pleasant. For example, there are dashboard accessories, designer steering wheels and gear shift knobs. Chrome and stainless accessories are available for most semi truck models, and custom items can often be fabricated. In all, these items add a touch of class to any big rig!

Despite increasing gas prices, trucks and SUV's are still among the best selling and most profitable of automobiles available. And coming in at a close second, the aftermarket community is just as profitable as most owners look for the right mix of personalization and performance to further set themselves apart from the crowd. That's what makes customizing a new or pre-owned truck an unforgettable experience. The great news is, that most aftermarket add-ons are readily available and take little effort to install using simple hand tools and a couple hours of your time. I will go over a brief list of some of the most popular and cheapest performance accessories to make that truck more powerful, more economical, and have an enhanced satisfaction value.
One of the easiest and most affordable add-ons is of course a high flow air filter. Not only will this allow the truck's engine to breath more efficiently, but will give you a part that is reusable. In the long run, this will save the enthusiast in maintenance costs and will give the driver a fuel economy boost of 1-3 mpg on average. In addition, manufacturers like K&N and Airaid have a wide selection of air filters to choose from for any make and model of automobile, these retail for only $35-55 and the benefits will exceed itself in a matter of months. I would also recommend the fuel injection intake kits if money is no object, again these install in less than 45 minutes and have the same function as a basic air filter. These are also available in a cold air variety that feeds air from behind an air dam or bumper, therefore getting more increase of horsepower.
One such other add-on that is most popular is a custom exhaust. To compliment a more free flowing intake system, a quality exhaust is a must and will help dispel of all the burnt gases from the engine efficiently. An aftermarket system will also enhance performance figures and give it's driver a slight edge in fuel economy as well. There are some exhaust systems from Borla and Magnaflow that have a bolt on kit available which will eliminate welding work and having to bring your ride to a muffler shop. But for a more economical system, Flowmaster has a wide variety of kits that cost only several hundred dollars and is the most popular. In your exhaust search, try to focus on stainless steel kits to help hinder rust for many years to come. And most kits come complete with all the hardware-muffler(s), tubing, hangers, clamps, bolts, instructions, you get the picture. But best of all, a custom exhaust will give the truck a nice throaty sound that only a muscle car can do.
And finally, another basic add-on is a performance chip. Made available by companies like Hypertech and Superchips, a performance chip will re-educate the computer system in your truck to adjust shift points to better your fuel economy. These chips take very little time to install, less than 15 minutes in most cases, and cost around a $100 on average in most autos. A more technological accessory is a power programmer, this tool does everything a chip does, but there is more driver intervention of specs of your engine vitals. You can literally customize your truck's computer more completely than just a chip. But beware, these programmers cost more than 3 times the performance chip, and it's worth every penny.
And so there is my short list of performance goodies anyone can install in an afternoon's time. Additionally, these parts will not affect your manufacturers warranty. There are other inexpensive performance add-ons like hedders, mass air flow sensors, and transmission shift kits to consider, but require a little more work. The overall end product however, will be one of complete amazement and satisfaction as you finally turn the key and feel the results!

Most skateboards are made of wood and there are certain woods that are preferred by skateboard manufacturers. One of the common types of woods used comes from maple trees. The wood is cut into very thin slices or veneers, which will be laminated together during the manufacturing process using glue very similar to how plywood is made.
The glue or adhesive is sandwiched between each thin-flat strip of wood and pressed together and allowed to dry. If the skateboards are to have kick-tails on them, the wood will be pressed into that particular shape with a bend in them. Next the skateboard will be cut out from the wood and holes drilled where the trucks will be mounted underneath.
Once this process is completed it is time to for the boards to be sanded and finished. Then various finishes will be applied and custom graphics. Then the coatings, graphics, silk screens will go through a drying process, generally in a big rack and for a specific time period. Last nose guards or other incidental extra features will be attached and then boxed and shipped to the retailer.
Many higher skill level skateboarders prefer wood boards to other types of skateboards. Of course generally a good wooden board will cost you quite a bit more. Composite boards offer riders some advantages too. Plastic Boards have an advantage due to their low cost and are favored for parents buying skateboards for children. What ever skateboard you buy, look for quality and look close, you can tell the difference.

A Peterbilt Truck owner. Proud. Loyal. Hardworking. Determined. With Peterbilt owners, it's evident in everything they do, right down to the care, attention and semi truck accessories they add into and outside their trucks.
The red oval logo bearing the name 'Peterbilt' in cursive handwriting might not be of much significance to a man on the street. But the same logo for a truck lover symbolizes premium quality trucks, a penchant for coming up with something new and going at lengths for giving the customers an out of the world experience, even if it means sending engineers onto the field. Well, we are referring to Peterbilt, a renowned name in the world of heavy-duty truck manufacturers.
However, a sneak peek at the history of Peterbilt reveals that it has not been a walk in the clouds for this legendary truck manufacturer. In fact, unlike cars, motor trucks never had a smooth start. During the early 1900s, railroads were used for carrying goods cross-country. Similarly, rivers, canals and horses were other popular means of transportation. In addition, the lack of motor- ready roads meant that there were few takers for motor trucks.
However, the onset of First World War proved to a blessing in disguise for motor trucks. Railroads were proving insufficient for the transportation of food, war supplies and other material. This meant that more and more trucks were pressed into service by the government. The government also took steps to build highways and quality roads. By the time the war, ended, motor trucks had cemented their place as an important means of transportation.
The growth juggernaut continued rolling well after the First World War. However, the Great Depression brought mixed baggage for truck manufacturers. While some brands were registering growth, there were others like Fageol, which became bankrupt.
Fageol was soon brought by T.A. Peterman, a logger and plywood manufacturer from Tacoma, Washington. His lumber business was registering a phenomenal growth and hence he was looking for creating custom chain drive logging trucks. Fageol was later re-christened as the company chairman.
Peterman concentrated on quality rather than quantity. When rivals like Ford were coming out with 100 trucks a day, Peterbilt was rolling just 100 trucks a year. Soon it etched a special place in the hearts of truck lovers.
Peterbilt was one of the first companies that sent out its engineers to get a first hand experience of the problems faced by truckers and make appropriate modifications from the field. This further enabled Peterbilt to climb up the loyalty charts with trucking companies and individual semi truck owner operators.
The death of Peterman in 1945 saw the ownership passing into the hands of his widow, Ida. She sold the assets to the employees of Peterbilt, but not the land. Later in 1958, she announced her plans of building a shopping center on the plant site. This put the new owners into quandary. To avoid the possibility of large and long-term debt, the company was put up for sale. It was later acquired by Pacific Car and Foundry, which owned Kenworth trucks.
Later, it went on to come up with many innovative strategies, like using aluminum to reduce cab and chassis weight and increasing payload capacity, manufacturing trucks for use in transporting refuse, introducing right-hand stand-up drive capabilities etc.
Peterbilt still continues to mesmerize truck lovers with constant innovations and practical approach to truck manufacturing.

The truck or dump body is made of metal casing that is specially fitted onto the chassis of the truck. It allows you an easy source of transportation of goods from place to place.
Most truck and dump bodies currently on the market are hydraulically operated with a few pneumatic operated bodies available. To unload the goods the hydraulic system is started. The hydraulic system contains the pump, cylinder, and pistons. An air compressor, not a pump, is used for the pneumatic system. With the help of these mechanical supports, the front part of the vehicle can be lifted to unload. In the end the body returns to its normal position.
There are many different types of dump bodies made from numerous types of materials. The kind of goods to be transported will determine the dimensions of the truck body.
The design and shape of the truck depend upon the size and shape of the material to be transported on a regular basis. A truck used for the transportation of vehicles (such as cars or motorcycles) is shaped accordingly. If the truck will mainly transport regular goods, a body style that is created for universal applications could be used.
Every truck has limited carrying power. Chassis can get damaged if the load exceeds the specified limit. The base or body of the vehicle needs to be strong enough to support the loads for which the chassis was made. Therefore it is very important to choose appropriate material.
Some of the common types of dumpers are:
(1) Those used for the transportation of asphalt. This type of dump body can handle large loads and stand up to heat. Asphalt dump bodies have rounded edges, allowing the substance to be dumped smoothly, as well as a hydraulic lift system.
(2) A high lift tail gate truck body is designed off the hydraulic system for the transportation of construction materials.
(3) Conveyors and high lift installation bodies are commonly used for lifting loads to a higher level throughout the city. Conveyors and a high rising lifts are included as part of this body. A professional in the roofing business would need such a truck.
Many other shapes are also available on the market for truck bodies. Chassis manufacturers and external after-market manufacturers sell truck and dump bodies directly to the public. Bodies custom made to your requirements and budget can be purchased through an after market manufacturer.

The first thing I have to say about the Tri-Fold folding tonneau cover by Lund Genesis is this truck bed has an incredible amount of recommendations to other interested buyers. People seem to love their tri-fold tonneau cover. It's kind of hard to write about the good and the bad points when mostly what I read are good points. Let me give you a description and some of its features and then I will get into its good and bad points.
The Tri-Fold tonneau cover is shipped pre-assembled and just needs to be installed on your pickup truck. This truck bed cover is constructed of a double-sided tear resistant fabric which should give you many years of use. The hardware for this truck lid is made of aluminum and is powder coated. It has straps which hold the tarp secure when in the open position. The Tri-Fold tonneau cover comes with a lifetime warranty. Lund boasts that you are able to install this cover in under three minutes. In my opinion it would take a little longer if you cared about your purchase at all. But I would agree it does install very fast.
The Lund Tri-Fold tonneau cover is very popular and is highly recommended by previous buyers. Previous buyers say they have noticed an increase in their gas mileage and admire how quickly the cover is installed. They also appreciate how the truck bed cover looks on their pickup trucks. Many are very happy with the folding feature and how quick and easy it is to get to access to their truck bed compared to snap covers they previously owned. Previous buyers also mentioned how dry their cargo stayed even after heavy rains. Of course this next goes for pretty well all truck lids but if your looking for the benefits of owning a tonneau cover... it is excellent in protecting your cargo from the wind. It also keeps your cargo out of the eyes of people who take things that don't belong to them. Many people say they love doing business with the people I personally am involved with and they would buy from them again for sure. It's always nice when I hear that.
Now as in any product people do find some negative things about it. Some people are concerned with the plastic parts of the clamps they would rather if they were metal. A few have said they wished the tri-fold tonneau cover had the same contour as their truck bed. It seems on some trucks the corners round off and the tri-fold corners are not so round causing the corner of the lid to stick out a little farther than the truck bed. Another suggestion some people had was Lund provide more foam tape especially if you have a bed liner that goes over the rails of your truck bed, it seems some vehicles have a little gap that needs to be filled. Another suggestion was Lund provide a metal loop on the tonneau so one could attach a cable and a lock so someone would not be able to steal the cover itself. One more thing worth mention if you have a bed liner that goes over the rails of your truck be prepared to have to make some minor cuts in the bed liner to permit the use of the clamps.
I could go on talking about how pleased people are with the Tri-Fold tonneau cover but instead I will sum it up by saying this.... Do I think the Tri-Fold tonneau cover by Lund is worth the money? In my opinion, by everything I have read about this truck bed cover I have come to the conclusion this truck lid is worth more than what you are going to pay for it. The good points outweigh the bad points heavily.

Leaving civilization behind
Not everyone who owns a pickup truck uses it solely to drive to work and back every day. Some people expect a little bit more out of their vehicle, and a lot of the time, that includes off-road performance. If you are the kind of driver who likes to take their truck off of the beaten path and do a little exploring, then you know just how risky that can be for your truck's body and glasswork.
Trail dangers
Bumpers only do so much when you are up against obstacles such as snapping tree branches, rocky outcroppings or fallen logs - not to mention what could happen if your truck loses its grip and slides backwards or forwards down a steep incline. There's no question that a tough pickup truck can take this kind of abuse, but it's usually at the expense of fragile items like headlights, taillights and fenders.
Keeping it safe
It's clear that for serious off-roading, certain steps need to be taken to protect the investment you have made in your truck. What kind of wholesale truck accessories are out there for you to use in your quest to keep your truck looking as good as it runs? One of the best options for full trail protection are grille guards. These strong guards are made out of stainless steel, and when mounted on the front of your vehicle they provide a layer of armor that is designed to deflect even the toughest possible abuse.
Wholesale grille guards
There are grille guards out there to fit every application, from the smallest cute-ute to a full-size pickup or sport-utility vehicle. These grilles can also be ordered in a wide variety of styles. You can go for an aggressive guard which sticks out from the front of your truck and lets the world know you mean business, or you can opt for a more discrete grille guard that is flush with bodywork and adopts an almost stock-looking appearance.
Protection front and back
Grille guards take care of protecting your vehicle's grille and delicate radiator, as well as headlights and turn signals. However, they can often be combined with small guards which mount over the rear turn signals to give you the same level of safety when it comes to keeping your rear glass safe and sound.
Not just for off-road incidents
Grille guards can serve as more than an off-road insurance policy. With their high profile and sturdy construction, these guards can serve as the ideal mounting point for driving lights or even fog lights. A row of lights across the top of a guard combined with fog lights mounted under the bumper can give your truck an extra level of visibility and illumination that drastically increases safety. Even better, using a grille guard to mount your lights means that you won't be giving up any bed space to an intrusive roll or light bar for overhead mounting.
Custom fit for a great look
Wholesale grille guards are built to fit specific models for each of the major manufacturers such as Ford, Chevrolet and Dodge. This ensures that there are no unsightly gaps or awkward mountings to be found once the guard is installed. The attention to detail found in these types of grille guards will have people swearing that they were installed at the factory.

A truck is a hardworking vehicle, and it needs hardworking floor mats. You use your truck to carry a variety of things that may cause stains. To keep it looking as clean and as new as possible, invest in high-quality floor mats. A truck floor mat is a necessary accessory – perhaps as important as your taillights.
Why a floor mat is important for big vehicles like a truck
You love your truck – you probably use it for your business or for going on off road trips, and it has become a big part of your life. You may not realize it, but you take care of it much like a family member – you probably clean it regularly, oil it regularly, and take it in for regular repair and maintenance. So it’s only right that you take care of its interiors, too. And that includes buying high-quality floor mats.
Floor mats protect your truck’s flooring from corrosion and unsightly stains. They act as a protective layer between your truck’s floor and everything that you put on it – tools, equipment, food, etc. Truck floor mats also make your truck look more pulled together and professional.
Choosing truck floor mats
Truck floor mats should be able to take stains and be easy to clean. If you are using the truck heavily (as opposed to just purely recreational or family uses), then it is wise in invest in high-quality rubber truck floor mats. They are very stain resistant and low maintenance – just hose them down and let them dry.
If your truck carries delicate goods, there are custom truck floor mats designed to absorb the shock and movement. Some industrial truck floor mat manufacturers produce these types of mats according to your truck’s particular size.
Conclusion
We need floor mats in big vehicles like trucks to protect truck floor from stains and corrosion.

UQM Technologies, Inc., a developer of alternative energy technologies used to create advanced vehicles, earlier announced that two hybrid electric future heavy truck demonstrators built by Armor Holdings and powered by UQM electric propulsion systems have begun Military Utility Assessment (MUA) Testing this month.
The custom 120 kW UQM® hybrid electric propulsion systems, which are powering the vehicles for the U.S. Army, were provided in support of Armor Holding’s contract. The agreement is part of the Army’s Future Tactical Truck System (FTTS) effort to formulate a demonstrator next generation tactical wheeled vehicle dubbed as the Maneuver Sustainment Vehicle (MSV).
The MSV program will allow the U.S. Army to evaluate the need and performance of the tactical vehicle to ascertain future requirements. The MSV is not simply putting together Nissan exhausts, Toyota technology, and other powerful auto parts. The manufacture of the vehicle requires more expertise in the tactical and combat realm. Hence, only the best and specialized parts and systems could satisfy the standards.
The testing, which places the vehicle in operational service to perform a variety of mission assignments, is being conducted at Ft. Lewis, Washington. Prior to the MUA testing, the two demonstrator vehicles successfully completed nearly 3,000 miles of testing at the Michigan Proving Grounds and the U.S. Army’s Aberdeen Proving Grounds.
Chris Chambers, the Vice President of Programs and Business Development at Armor Holdings’ Tactical Vehicle Systems Division, said, “The MSV design and development exercise has overcome many of the hybrid technology challenges this class of vehicle presents. Our work with UQM puts us at the forefront of this area and we are particularly pleased to have had the opportunity to assist the Army as they scope their potential future tactical vehicle requirements.”
“We are pleased to be a member of the Armor Holding’s team and have their vehicles move to this important next step of testing as part of the US Army’s Future Tactical Truck System program,” said William G. Rankin, the President and Chief Executive Officer of UQM Technologies, Inc.
“The 120 kW UQM® electric propulsion systems powering these hybrid vehicles incorporate our latest technology advancements which further improve their performance, power density and efficiency, as well as their reliability, durability and cost,” Rankin added. “Armor Holdings’ plans to incorporate the lessons learned from conducting this demonstrator phase across their vehicle systems product development area to ensure that the U.S. Army continues to have available the most advanced tactical truck fleet in the world. The advantages of our systems are being recognized in a number of military vehicle applications, which we believe represents an important and growing market for the Company.”

Catering truck insurance
Not many agents/brokers write catering truck insurance as they don't have a contract with companies that will write that type of coverage. There's a certain type of knowledge needed to write the risk with catering truck insurance properly. There are basically (2) categories of operators:
They are, hot trucks and Mobile Food Preparation Vehicles (MFPV), which allow food to be prepared as customers order, and cold trucks, Industrial Catering Vehicles (ICV), which sell only prepackaged foods.
The hot trucks have at least a driver, (which is usually the taxpayer), and a cook, who may be a family member. The cold trucks in most instances, only need a driver since it is a self-service vehicle, however, they are not limited to just the driver.
The average cost of the trucks is approximately between $50,000 - $100,000. The trucks may be owned by one individual, serving as the owner/operator, or several individuals may own a fleet of trucks and lease them to various individuals to operate; or they can be individually owned and then leased to another individual to operate.
The drivers/owners of food trucks are linked to specific commissaries stocking and storing their trucks overnight. The commissary is a wholesale supermarket where the drivers are able to buy food and supplies in bulk. The trucks are assigned to a commissary and are required to park their vehicles there overnight for washing, unloading, and morning loading of food.
The drivers purchase their goods for sale at the commissary, although you may discover that outside purchases were also made. The Department of Health Services have very strict requirements with regards to the purchase of food for sale. Food must be obtained from an approved vendor, approved facility, or approved commissary.
The owners and operators of the vehicles have to meet certain requirements for various governmental agencies. The owners are required to register their vehicles with the Health Department. All vehicles must have a valid County Health Permit.
Vehicles are usually inspected annually in order to renew their license by the Health Department. The license, showing the name of the owner, must be on display in the vehicle or on the persons of the driver.
Selling any goods, wares, or merchandise on public streets and sidewalks on foot or using a pack, stand, or push cart is illegal without the approval of the Department of Building and Safety.
There are also stringent health codes that must be followed and enforced to operate safely and within the guidlines of the dept of health in order to be able to operate the food business. State laws also require catering truck insurance.

For some motorcycle enthusiasts, their ultimate dream is to build their very own custom motorcycle. But most have the dread of having to use up their life savings and feel overwhelmed by all the details of putting such project together. Let’s say you’re in the process of getting ready to start your bike building project. Know that a complete and determined understanding of the great undertaking you’re going to face is what you need to become undaunted by the practical, if not harsh, realities of custom bike building.
First of all, you need to consider your financial status before you begin the whole project. Aside from the financial point-of-view, you also need to have a full inkling of all the nitty-gritty details to be considered. Be very aware that the use of mismatched, inferior motorcycle parts and improper assembly techniques can send the cost of your project sky-high!
Many online resources are offering book manuals and videos to guide you into making your masterpiece with less trouble, all in earnest. Just take care to find the most reliable source that would guarantee you results with a minimal investment. But here are several pointers in building your very own killer custom motorcycle.
• Be alert in selecting the proper motorcycle parts in order that everything works and fits together as one complete unit. Wise up on used motorcycle parts and choosing between OEM and aftermarket parts. Get to know and study the tools you'll be needing for assembly
• Don’t be discouraged easily by the "real life" assembly roadblocks you'll encounter. Even the professionals have to deal with these things at one point of their bike building careers.
• There’s a correct procedure for each phase of your project – like "mocking up" your rolling chassis and properly fitting and prepping all of your sheet metal parts. This phase may cost you thousands of dollars if done incorrectly.

Why spend thousands of dollars just to make your car look cooler when a simple custom bumper sticker would do the job for less? Started by a Kansas City-based silkscreen printer named Forest F. Gill just before World War II, bumper stickers became a common vehicular fixture in recent years. Aside from its usual function as a popular medium of expression among car-owners,bumpers stickers can also add some zing in your car's appearance. Check out the list below to find out how:
How to Make Your Car Look Cooler with Custom Bumper Stickers:
1. Choose a design that suits your personality. Your choice of car speaks much of what you are as a person. Your preference reveals the person that you really are. Evaluate your sticker design according to your personal traits. If you are in to basketball for instance, you can choose a sporty look for your sticker.
2. Prefer a design that goes well with the type of car you own. The point is to enhance the appearance of your car and not to make it look bad. Your bumper sticker shouldn't be an eyesore. Go for a design that complements the feature and color of your vehicle.
3. Come up with an original concept. Instead of randomly filling up your car with ready-made stickers, think of a concept. This may be about your personal belief or stand on an issue. Just avoid racist slogans or messages that may offend other people.
4. Be resourceful. Search the internet for excellent printing companies that provide first-rate services for your bumper sticker design. You can also look for sites that give discounts and affordable rates that wouldn't cost as much as overhauling your entire vehicle.

Vehicle owners have actually several reasons why they customize their vehicles with liftkits. For some, they simply want to increase the height of their vehicles while others just desire to rule the road. Whatever reasons you may have, there are just some things that you need to consider before getting started.
What are lift kits?
Lift kit is an aftermarket vehicle part that lifts either the suspension or the body to give the vehicle a higher look, which is really good at different kinds of terrains. Once it is installed, the wheel becomes higher, allowing taller tires to be installed. The new 4x4 trucks and SUVs come with moderate liftkits already installed.
Equipping vehicles with a suspension lift kit involves much effort than buying a truck lift kit then dropping your vehicle off at any local mechanic. If that's your original plan, chances are, lifting your ride might not be right in the first place. Installing truck suspension lift kits requires hard work, a bit of technical savvy and consistent upkeep and attention to your vehicle's components.
The determination needed to make when considering suspension lift kits is what you want to do with it. There are two main purposes when installing a truck lift kit: style or function. Although the two are somewhat interrelated, it's still important to consider your purpose, as it will assist you in making the correct modifications to your vehicle.
When it comes to adding liftkits to make a style statement, looking good is the easy part. Sometimes, it's easy to overlook general, everyday performance in the middle of joining out an auto. For this reason, choosing the right suspension or body liftkit with addition to comfort, reliability, durability, safety, and the price, should be given much consideration than those height inches that you want to add.
But before driving first into a custom truck liftkit and gigantic tires, there are number of issues to address to ensure a correct setup. The first step is to ask yourself what you will be doing the most - is it a slow-speed rock crawling, high-speed desert racing, general purpose 4 wheeling, mud racing, or long distance open country treks? From there, you can narrow down your need to do in order to customize your vehicle and suit your needs.

Buying a gift for your truck-obsessed man (or woman) can be difficult, but from bed mats to wheel covers, we've put together a list of great gift ideas that will win his heart and be sure to let him know that you really do understand his passion for his truck or SUV. Set his pulse pounding with any one of these great accessories for his pride and joy and you can't go wrong!
Wheel covers or rims are one of the most popular ways men personalize their rides. If he's been drooling over the chrome rims he sees on his friends' trucks or SUV's, you can be sure he wants a set of his own. Either take him on a shopping spree or talk to one of his closest friends, who can no doubt steer you in the direction of the style your guy has been checking out. As an alternative, consider a gift certificate for a good online auto accessories store so he can order exactly what he wants.
Bed mats protect his pickup truck bed from chips, dents and damage from rust and the weather. You can shop around to find custom contoured versions that are designed for his make and model of truck that fit over the wheel wells or find bed mats that can be trimmed to fit. Either way, he'll appreciate your thoughtfulness in wanting to protect the value and appearance of his truck. A bonus for you is that when he's hauling something for you, it will be protected from shifting and possible damage by the skid-resistant and cushioning qualities of bed mats.
Hood ornaments these days are incredibly beautiful and come in more styles than ever. Is he an avid fisherman? Hunter? Does he love a particular sports team? There are hood ornaments for all of these and more, including lovely replicas of antiques ornaments from the golden era of vehicles from the 1920's to the 1950's.
Tonneau covers are another way to protect the bed of a pickup truck that also protects the cargo. These are sometimes called truck bed covers and are basically a lid that goes over the truck bed and tailgate. There are lots of styles to choose from, ranging from very basic models to heavy duty locking ones. Compare models and prices to determine what you think your guy will like. Prices vary on these quite a bit, so keep your budget in mind. Like bed mats, these protect truck beds from the elements but have the added advantage of covering whatever is inside so no one can get to it. They also reduce drag and improve a truck's energy efficiency - not a bad little gift for anyone who owns a truck these days.
Seat Covers give any truck or SUV added flair and comfort. Look for seat covers that match the recipient's personality. There is also the added benefit of comfort while driving with padded seat covers. Materials should be practical, sturdy and the kind he'll want to sink into for hours on the road. You can order custom seat covers or universal covers that slip on and snug to fit for a great custom look without the higher price tag.
Neon Kits are the gift of choice for the guy who wants his truck or SUV to stand out in a crowd, especially after dark. So, if you really want to light up his life and his truck, consider giving him a neon under car kit in a hot color like purple or red so no one will miss him when he cruises down the street.
If you stick with this gift list, you'll have his birthday, Christmas and even some other occasions covered. Not to mention the fact that when his friends see his new bed mat, wheel cover or hood ornament, they'll know he has the most awesome girlfriend around.

One of the ways thought of that could reduce the amount of rust from the body of your truck is by using a truck liner paint. In comparison to a professional paint job, you would have saved some money. Consider this project as a great idea if you wish to get your truck rid of all the rust.
Cheap Is Good
Rather than going for a professional liner, one reason for you to go for truck liner paint is that it saves you some money. Imagine you could paint your truck and yet save up to 80% of the amount you would have had to pay, if you had decided to go for a professional coating. This is one of the reasons why people prefer to use the truck liner paint instead of the professional paint for painting the trucks.
Stop Damage before its Too Late
One of the main reasons why a truck loses quite a bit of its sheen is rusting. Scratches and scrapes are said to be the second most prominent reasons that contribute to this problem. So, in essence you have three issues that could plague your truck at any given point of time - Rust, Scratches and Scrapes. With the help of truck liner paint, you could help fix all these issues at one go.
In essence, all you would be doing is cleaning the bed of the truck off all impurities and painting it with a color. In doing so, you eliminate any rust from the surface of the truck and make it look that much better.
Looks Count
Apply the truck paint properly on the bed of the truck, and you would make your truck look professional alright. It is a point taken that this involves certain amount of work, but with time you would realize that this work is worth it, especially if you see a shining new truck in front of you. Not only will painting the truck with line paint make it look better, chances are that you could see an improvement in its durability too.
Coating the bed of the truck with paint will be one of the best ways you could ensure longevity to the life of your truck. What seems to be one of the easiest methods to coat your truck or paint your truck turns out to be one of the most effective methods as well. You would also find that this technique is one of the cheapest as well.

First you should understand that those unique folks who own trucks are able to promote themselves with their wheels. Truck owners who have installed a set of nifty wheels know that their rims are far more than just for show. They make a statement of power, beauty and class.
There is a wide selection of wheel companies that sell their rims from a website. However, the most popular way, and where the best deals are to be found; are on many of the online auction sites like ebay
Although shopping for a new set of truck wheels on-line is convenient, you need to consider the following:
Make sure that you read the description carefully to confirm that the wheels are compatible with your truck.
Since the shipping cost of a set of custom truck wheels can be expensive, be sure you understand the total price.
Ensure that you are buying from a reputable seller. If buying from an auction site like ebay, make sure that you read the seller feedback rating.
If you are unsure about the size of the custom truck wheels that you need, you should always refer to your owners manual or a professional for expert advice.
Since custom truck wheels come in various styles, colors and designs; the list to choose from can be a daunting task. However, there are many resources that can help you determine which custom truck wheels are right for you. A great place to start is at SUVTruckRims.com. They have broken the custom truck wheel sets down in an attempt to aid in your purchase decision. If you're looking for comparisons you should start in their reviews section, some helpful hints, the guides section..
The bottom line is, you can find a ton of great deals shopping on eBay or discount rim websites for your custom truck wheels. Just be sure to follow the above tips to ensure a smooth transaction all the way around.
