Floor Mats and Liners for Your Vehicle

Your Ford F Series, Toyota Tundra, Dodge Ram, or GMC 1500 pick up truck gets the job done when it comes to moving people and your stuff. Likely, your truck's cargo bed is utilized frequently as you use it to transport wood, gravel, household items, or even food items. To protect your cargo bed and the truck's interior from mistreatment, custom made liners and floor mats offer extraordinary protection for your vehicle that no stock product can possibly equal. Let's examine some important features that custom made liners and floor mats have to offer.

Custom made liners offer the best protection for your pick up truck or SUV because they feature the following characteristics:

Each liner is custom made to the specific specifications of your truck's cargo area.

Liners are made from rigorous polyethylene material to stay supple in intense weather conditions: from the heat of summer to the worst of winter's extreme chill.

Liners resist snow, ice, hail, sleet, rain, mud, dirt, gas, oil, and battery acid.

Liners include molded-in tread pattern cargo grips to lessen the movement of your passengers, pets, and other stuff.

Are available in three important colors: gray, black, and tan to match mostly any vehicle.

Likewise, custom made floor mats offer the following significant features:

Are constructed with the toughest rubber to endure abusive foot traffic.

Warranted to not crack or break; compare that with one year limited warranties from off the shelf competitors.

Contrasting to clumsy fitting off the shelf models, custom floor mats offer an exact fit. No dangerous folding or slipping while operating your car!

Withstand snow, ice, hail, sleet, rain, mud, dirt, gas, oil, and battery acid.

To purchase a cargo liner or floor mats through an online wholesaler, you can get the finest service, the lowest prices, and the best selection especially if the following is offered to you:

A toll free number; competitive prices; online ordering with assistance, if needed; free and quick shipping and handling.

Besides serving full sized truck and SUV offerings, custom liners and floor mats can be made for a wide range of other vehicles, all the way from the compact Kia Sorento to a Land Rover and beyond. Protect your vehicle today and order the mats and liners that are right for you.

Covering Your Backside, Seat Covers And Your Ford Truck

If your Ford truck is anything like mine, your seats are bound to take a beating. Most F-150s and Super Dutys pull, well, double or triple duty on a good day. It starts early on the jobsite, loading bruising drums of paint or bucking bricks into the bed while a handful of Breakfast Jacks stew in the passenger seat. It continues with grass-stained juvenile terrors hitching rides to and from practice. And, if you're lucky, it'll end with a quick swing by the lake or a muddy driving range.

Now, it might sound like some protective floor mats are more in order than a set of car seat covers in these cases. But, take a closer look at the situation. Those tasty drive-thru morsels drip grease like a rusty fry basket. You've probably sat in God-knows-what at the jobsite (and maybe even on that oh-so-clean porta-john seat). The kids? Well, they like to sit cross-legged with their cleats gouging mud, sand and grass deep into the cushions. Those thoughtless little pigs. Meanwhile, your Levi's rivets are doing their damage throughout the day. Without sturdy seat covers, your interior stands no chance.

Here's some more scary news: the condition of your interior is the most important factor in trade-in/resale value after mechanical soundness. Perfect, Now, remember that how much you can squeeze out of somebody else for this Ford rig factors heavily into how much you'll pay for the next spankin' new F-150 or Super Duty you covet. Luckily, you have a number of options for protecting your investment regardless of your budget.

Your cheapest alternative is to throw a blue ground tarp or some pallet wrap around your seats. Each only costs a few bucks, and they look freaking terrible, but they'll stop water and they come with the enduring feature of hose-off cleaning. But, there's zero comfort to this solution. Next up the list is a set of universal seat covers from a big box store. They'll get the job done and they look better than tattered paint tarps, but they're about as baggy as those pants you wish you could confiscate from your wayward son with an identity crisis.

Here is your best option: a set of custom Ford truck seat covers. Sure, they'll cost a few bills up front--you might have to clip beer coupons or drop down to Pabst for a month or so to cover the cost. But, remember, they'll pay for themselves in the long run. The custom fit means they'll look awesome. And, because your specific seats are taken into account, custom Ford truck seat covers will handle features like armrests, headrests, cup holders and consoles, while cheapo covers will simply hide them from view or use. In fact, true custom seat covers fit, feel and protect so well, they're often mistaken for the work of a pricey upholstery shop--or for performance racing seats.

So remember your seats when you're thinking about protecting your Ford truck. It may not always be the obvious attack that does them in--like wet passengers or passengers wetting. It could be brash brats, dirty germs, or the disconcerting rumble in your gut caused by two-for-one breakfast burritos. Get some Ford truck seat covers now, before the next enemy rears its ugly head.

Custom Trucks

Today, building the truck of your dreams is about as difficult as opening boxes considering the huge selection of suspension components, wheels and tires, performance enhancements, grilles, lighting, bed covers and more which are now available. Admit it; a stone stock truck will never serve your needs.

Whether you lucked out and hit the lottery or just received your income tax return, you can soon be driving the custom truck of your dreams. That picture in your mind of the perfect truck portrays an extension of your personality and it can easily be fabricated by simply making a list of components.

Who knows, in a few short months you could be winning show trophies, enthusiasts will be shooting photos of your wild ride and cute girls asking for a ride. A few more web site trips and I will have my parts list complete. Ah...dreams!

Exterior customizing accessories are probably one of the most popular of all aftermarket products because they convey immediate visual impact, everything that a person would want to install to give the exterior of his truck that cool, custom appearance.

Adding performance is a necessary part to building a custom truck. Simple ways include adding an air intake and a cat-back exhaust system, which not adds power, but also makes your custom truck sound more aggressive. There are many different products to choose from ranging from exhaust to superchargers to power programmers.

Brake upgrades are really a natural for a sport truck for a couple of reasons. First, any time that you increase the diameter of your wheel and tire combination you are giving the Wheels and Tires a lot more leverage on your brakes than the stock Wheels and Tires had. This in effect actually reduces the performance of your factory brakes and a brake performance upgrade is necessary to restore the stopping power of your truck. Second, a set of 20-inch or larger Wheels create a lot more space inside your Wheels and the best way to fill that space is with a set of big brakes - especially if the plans for your truck include any of the products from the engine performance section. Because when you add products to make your truck quicker and faster it makes sense to add products that will help it stop in a shorter distance as well.

SUSPENSION

Whether your truck is lifted or lowered, altering the ride height is one of the first steps a custom truck builder has to perform in fabricating a cutting-edge truck, which is an extension of your personality. This is the only way to make your wheel & tire selection fit the wheel well openings of your truck. You literally have hundreds of custom components at your fingertips when it comes to perfecting your trucks stance and we made the shopping and selection a breeze! Only question is whether or not you drop it 'til it scrapes or lift it until your nose bleeds?

TIRES

One of the nearly automatic products that custom truck owners want to get their hands are a set of aftermarket tires, usually to go along with a new set of wheels. As most know in today's tire age, there are spectrum of sizes and dimensions. It is important to know the height and width of your prospective new Tires and understand how they will both look and fit on your truck.

INTERIOR

Whatever kind of truck you drive, chances are you spend most of your time in the driver's seat looking out. Regardless of how passersby view your truck, they see it from the outside. You live on the inside. Even though most late model pickup trucks look great from the factory there is always room for personalizing. And if your truck is an earlier model vehicle, the options for upgrading and improvement are almost endless.

Tricking Out Your Dodge Ram SRT-10

There are pick up trucks on the road and then there is the Dodge Ram SRT-10. Take one already powerful truck and add in a Viper engine and you come away with a vehicle that is truly the king of its class. DaimlerChrysler got it right when they decided to morph its popular Ram into a true road warrior able to haul people, stuff, and beat just about any car on the road. If you own a Ram SRT-10 you already know what I mean as you spend your time tricking out your truck for even more performance and enhanced looks. Before we go on, please note that there are two versions of the Ram SRT-10: one is the "standard" two door cab and the other is the quad cab. For argument's sake, we'll look at both Ram SRT-10 models as one.

Without exception the 510 horsepower 8.3L V10 is one powerful engine. For the faint of heart, the Ram SRT-10 just isn't for you, but for the Dodge aficionado this steroid enhanced Ram more than meets your every fantasy. Or does it?

As it is with every performance oriented vehicle, a host of aftermarket parts have come along to enhance the driving experience. What, isn't the Ram SRT-10 enough of a performance statement? For some drivers that answer is yes, but for others that answer is clearly no.

Passionate Ram SRT-10 owners are enhancing their rides with a variety of popular aftermarket products including:

Air Intake Systems - A cool air intake system such as the Volant Air Intake for the Ram SRT-10 is a hot selling item. Volant claims that you will receive a horsepower boost of 28 while adding 42 lbs. of torque to the rear wheels. Working with your truck's engine, an air intake system helps to free up trapped air to allow the engine to operate more efficiently without adversely impacting fuel mileage. Enjoy more power and take in that awesome intake tone!

Cat-back Exhaust Systems - Another area where power is inhibited is through your vehicle's exhaust system. A catalyst back [or cat-back] system such as one developed by Magnaflow Exhaust will boost horsepower and free up torque with its dual rear exit 3" mandrel bent stainless steel system and 4" slash cut polished stainless steel tips. The racecar rumble you hear coming from underneath the truck is truly a welcome bonus!

Computer Enhancements - The factory settings for your Ram SRT-10 are good, but they could be better. A Custom Computer Flash ECU can replace the stock computer with one that has been aftermarket enhanced. What that means is a simple swap out of your current computer with a new one which will result in more horsepower, better torque, and improved throttle timing for your truck. All you have to do is submit your SRT-10's VIN #, modifications, and mileage and a custom designed ECU will be shipped to you.

If these aftermarket parts aren't enough then there are always lowering kits, performance air filters, exhaust headers, and traction bars to consider, so why settle for less? Indeed, there is little to stop you from customizing your Dodge Ram SRT-10 to perform the way you want it to run even among other enhanced trucks in its class.

Truck Backup Alarms - More Important Than You Think

Sometimes when we "back up" we feel that there is this small chance that we would run into something- causing undue stress and lack of concentration. This fear is not unfounded. In a 2007 vehicular accidents report, a staggering fifteen percent increase has been noted on accidents caused by vehicles that are moving in reverse.

What is the main cause of these accidents, and how can these accidents be avoided, anyway? There is just one answer for this: lack of visibility. Truth is, driving, parking, towing and backing up all work through estimation. All drivers know this. You estimate the dimensions of your vehicle relative to the road, to other vehicles and other structures around you.

With this basic estimation you build your working knowledge of a vehicle- without the dimensions, you will not know when to press the brakes, when to stop completely or when to accelerate.

Sometimes, estimation is not enough. When we realize that backing up is not our skill, we need to get electronic aid. We need truck backup alarms.

Handicap and Solutions

Truck drivers have two handicaps working against them: first is the relative distance from the back of the vehicle, which makes estimation difficult if you're simply going to base the distances via the rearview mirror and the side mirrors. The second handicap is the height of the truck cab (where the driver is located) in relation to ground level and the distance to the rear of the vehicle. Once you relate these two handicaps, you would be amazed how truck drivers can safely back up their vehicles.

If you drive a truck and you'd rather not take risks, then you can use truck backup alarms to make your life easier. How do these backup alarms work? The basic type of truck backup alarm uses sensors to calculate the distance between the rear of your vehicle and any object behind it.

When an object crosses the "safe distance", the device will warn you via electronic voice that you are approaching it. The device will then measure the distance in meters or inches until it finally says "impact!"

Other truck backup alarms include visual panels that you can install right in front of you so you can see a representation of your vehicle as it moves back, complete with distance calculation in meters.

Modern versions of these devices now include GPS or global positioning system to make driving safe too. The GPS feeds can guide you while backing up.

Peterbilt Pick-Up Truck Pre-Purchase Check-List

Make a Check List before ordering your custom built
Peterbilt Pick-Up Truck. There is a lot to consider
when putting in an order for a custom built Peterbilt
pick-up truck.

The chassis of course is a very important aspect of
your truck. Half ton, three quarter ton, ton, super
duty, are some of the options you have and must
consider. Then of course, there are options, paint,
paint and interior color schemes, chrome work, engine
size and the list goes on and on.

Therefore, I have developed a check-list for you to
go by before starting the process. Of course, this is
just a guideline and you can add and take away from the
list.

* Chassis

* Engine

* Tires and Wheels

* Paint- colors/schemes

* Transmission

* Time frame for delivery

* Type of delivery

* Warranties and Guaranties

These are just some of the things you need to
consider when planning your purchase of a Peterbilt
Pick-Up Truck.

Something else to think about is what exactly is the
use of your truck going to be. Pleasure? Show truck?
Everyday use?

If you have questions, which I'm sure you will;
contacting the builder and visiting with him about your
questions and/or concerns is, of course, the very first
step in the process. Second and equally important is
your spending budget as these unique pick-up trucks
start in the area of about $40,000.00

These Peterbilt Pick-Up Trucks are not for everyone.
They are not only custom built, but the cost isn't for
the average pocketbook or wallet.

A true connoisseur of automobiles will both appreciate
these trucks as well as desire to own one for
themselves.

Take a little time to consider the check-list and
write down any questions you may have and then contact
the builder to discuss them. This will make the buying
process go smoothly and greatly reduce buyer's remorse
and pre-purchase jitters.

Truck and Auto Accessories - Splash Guards

The main function of the mud flap is to keep dirt, slush and other debris from being kicked up by your truck's tires, protecting both your truck and the windshields of the drivers behind you. Usually, people don't pay much attention to mud flaps, but these days, the standard variety of truck and auto accessories have become yet another form of automotive self-expression.

The most iconic of these truck and car accessories characters is simply known as "The Mud Flap Girl". We've all seen her before: She's the buxom silver silhouette of a long-legged beauty lounging with one leg provocatively crossed over the other, hair blowing in the wind. Bill Zinda of Wiz Enterprises in Long Beach, California, created this famous character to promote his line of truck and auto accessories and based the character upon a famous model named Leta Laroe.

Another famous character to make an appearance on these truck and car accessories is Yosemite Sam pointing his two cartoon pistols with a caption beneath declaring, "Back Off!" or, "All Fired Up". Other Warner Brother characters have also made appearances, such as a frightened Daffy Duck and an overly upset Tweety Bird.

These mud flap characters are so engrained in our psych that they have gone beyond truck and car accessories and began appearing in commercials together. One famous commercial created for the Superbowl in 2006 had the Mud Flap Girl and Yosemite Sam driving away in a Honda Ridgeway.

Sadly, it appears that both of these figures have been targeted by legislation, when officials in Arizona tried to pass a ban on the two icons on the grounds of political correctness (one promoting sex and the other promoting gun violence). For the time being, the legislation on these truck and auto accessories has been struck down.

As long as that law doesn't pass, you can find quality auto accessories and mud flaps that can have anything on them from your favorite sports team logo to the picture of your dog.

Manufacturers know a good thing when they see it, and customized truck and auto accessories, such as mud flaps are big money makers. If you don't want Yosemite Sam or the Mud Flap Girl, you can have your own mud flaps customized with whatever you want on quality materials to continue protecting your truck and showing everyone who you are at the same time.

The most popular use of custom mud flaps nowadays are for company cars. If you've ever been caught behind a large semi on the highway, or maybe stuck in traffic behind a moving van, you may have noticed that mud flaps are an effective advertising tool. Most companies spend a little extra in this truck and auto accessory to manipulate their vehicles to carry their company name and phone number on mud flaps.

More than mere truck and auto accessories, mud flaps can be a unique form of showing off who you are or acting as a clever bit of advertising. Never before have truck and car accessories been so interesting, versatile and amusing - while it protects!

All About Skateboard Wheels And Skateboard Trucks

Skateboard wheels are designed in many different sizes and hardnesses. Skateboard wheels are made of a rubber-like material called urethane. The size and hardness of the wheels affect the smoothness of the ride on a skateboard, how well it handles, and its speed. Skateboard wheels are normally 52 mm to 60 mm and have their own ball bearings built in. Street skateboard wheels are usually very hard, which allows them to slow down quickly and store energy as you move along. Park wheels are usually made of a softer urethane for better bite and handling. Modern skateboard wheels are bidirectional, meaning that they can be attached in either direction unlike the wheels on a car or the back wheel of a bicycle. This means that if the edges start to wear, you can flip the wheels and use them on the other side. Skateboard wheels are attached to the trucks by hex head axle bolts and ABEC (or another company's) ball bearings to provide the free-spinning movement of the wheels.

Skateboard Trucks

Trucks are axles attached to a baseplate. Most trucks are made from an aluminum alloy and they are very strong. Trucks come in many different shapes, sizes and colors. Trucks are made from cast metal and allow the skater to turn the board. Depending how tightly the nut on the kingpin is secured, the trucks can be loose or tight just like the suspension on a car. The main purpose of having trucks that are not fixed is to enable you to turn or "carve" without lifting your front wheels off the ground. The looser your trucks are, the further you will be able to lean in one direction or the other.

Skateboard Wheels

Wheels don't just keep your skateboard rolling -- they are also responsible for keeping you on your feet as you tackle different terrain. Wheels attach to the axles of the trucks with a hex bolt and there are 8 bearings, two inserted into each wheel with a spacer between. The wheels come in a variety of shapes, from 50 to 55 mm, and different hardnesses. Most skateboard wheels, like mentioned above, are made from urethane, and have a hardness rating stamped on the wheel (for example: 95a, or 100a - always with an "a" after the number). The higher the number, the harder the wheel. For example, a 101a wheel is harder than a 95a. So a good choice for street riding might be a 100a or 101a. A 95a would do well on ramps and in a skateboard park.

So, a skateboard is made up of three main parts: the deck, the trucks, and the wheels. The deck is the flat part on top (or mostly flat) where you plant your feet. The trucks are bolted to the bottom of the deck. This is your suspension and axles for the deck and wheels. The wheels bolt onto the ends of the trucks and include wheel bearings so the wheels can spin. Wheels come in different sizes and hardnesses to help you custom tailor your ride.

International Truck MPG - Why US Domestic Ratings Differ

There are many differences between domestic US trucks and international trucks. One of them is that international truck mpg (miles per gallon) figures are rated much higher than their US counterparts for the same class and type of truck. This specific difference is due to many reasons.

These reasons are caused by many differences. One of them is that domestic trucks plying in the US are made by US-based automobile manufacturers. These manufacturers follow SAE (society of automotive engineers) standards, whereas trucks made in Europe follow European standards and trucks made in China and Japan follow their own standards.

Differences in different standards cause a change in the fuel economy of vehicles manufactured in the US and those manufactured elsewhere. Part of the difference is due to different criteria specified in these different standards. However, the common aspect about the different non-US standards is that most of the criteria result in manufacture of similar class of trucks having almost similar mpg characteristics.

US manufactured trucks generally lag behind slightly in actual mpg of comparable models of trucks. Part of this is also due to the influence of the big three of the US automobile industry namely GM, Ford, and Chrysler on the US federal government.

These companies have invested far too much in their sheet metal based plants to make drastic changes in the process and materials of manufacturing. This is why their truck models are heavier. Therefore, they have a lower fuel economy than most European and Japanese truck models. Japanese models especially have incorporated more material-related and other technological innovations to reduce truck weight and fuel economy.

Part of the reason US trucks are heavier lies in the fact that they are equipped with more powerful engines. More powerful engines guzzle more fuel and result in lower fuel economy. Even these US manufacturers cannot be blamed because US consumers of trucks have had a traditional and specific penchant for powerful vehicles. However, with gasoline prices climbing beyond the $4 per gallon mark, this is set for a change as fuel economy is having a greater impact in the US market than it had earlier.

The US EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) has also tried to correct the course to actualize truck mpg ratings by dumbing down its earlier published ratings to bring them in sync with practically achievable figures.

It rates the mpg of various current trucks and cars plying in the US on an annual basis. It classifies different vehicles under different classes. Even custom configurations of hybrids and other trucks are rated by the EPA.

The traditional outlook of people in the US towards truck fuel economy is also one reason for the difference. Moreover, people in the US have traditionally had far more money to worry about high truck speed and its consequent adverse impact on fuel economy. International truck mpg figures are more realistic and better. This is because of the awareness of the impact of crude oil price rise and operation of trucks at lower optimum speeds to achieve higher fuel economy.

Discount Truck Tires

Truck Tires have to operate amongst the most strenuous of all environments, when one looks at the automobile sector. Since purchase of regular tires can be a costly affair, truck owners often opt for a cheaper alternative.

There are many necessary details which have to be kept in mind when one goes in for purchasing Discount Tires for Trucks. These tires must ensure smooth operability while catering to different loads across roads, and provide traction irrespective of weather. Tires for trucks come in a range of sizes and are designed to perform well in a wide range of temperatures.

Different techniques are followed before and after manufacture to ensure longevity of traction. The tire pressure is a very important parameter, and tire pressure should be kept at ideal levels in all the tires within a vehicle. If there is low air pressure in one tire, it puts undue strain on another, and thus the wear-and-tear rate is enhanced.

Regular servicing after every 35,000 miles ensures that the tires remain roadworthy for a long time. Depending on the usage requirements, some tire companies also reinforce load capacity. Speed ratings are also available. This can be used to augment the load-carrying capacity of the vehicle.

Trucks come in various sizes, and there is often some degree of variance between trucks used for ferrying passengers and those used to transport goods. The lighter trucks are often employed under tough operating conditions, like off-road travel and overloading. This puts added strain on the tires, which must be able to respond to varying quantities of load and road condition. Thus, the tires for light trucks often have an extra layer and\or a larger bead, with enhanced sidewall rubber to provide additional strength.

Fiberglass Truck Lids - The Latest in Pickup Truck Cargo Care

If you have a pick up cargo truck, you should definitely buy fiberglass truck lids for it. These lids represent the latest trend in pickup truck cargo care. The reason behind their popularity is that they are lightweight, are easy to install and use, and can be customized according to the use.

These fiberglass truck lids are made of fiberglass which is very lightweight yet is a very strong material. In fact these lids are very easy to install and use because of their light weight. You can easily install them with a wrench and screw, You do not have to drill any bad looking holes in your truck. Plus, the lids are durable enough to withstand the worst weather and road conditions.

Since they are so light in weight, they are very easy to operate. You can easily lift the cover, secure it in place, and then access the truck bed. Usually these lids have hinges near the bed of the truck which can be opened from tailgate. Some of the lids have these hinges running in the middle of the bed. Therefore they can be easily opened from either side.

Also like mentioned above these lids are completely customizable. You can easily accustom them according to the color of that particular truck. You can paint entire designs or emblems on them. Usually the fiberglass truck lids have a handle located over the tailgate. This handle provides a professional look to the lids. You can add a wing on the back end which adds to the overall aerodynamics of the vehicle.

The lids provide you with an organized storage system. You can easily store the loose items in the bed as the lid will keep them from falling off the truck. It keeps the cargo safe as it protects the cargo from any damaging weather conditions like snow, rain and extreme sun. Since the cargo is covered, the chances of cargo theft are considerably less.

Also the lids provide you with an immediate improvement in gas mileage. This is because usually when the air flows over the aerodynamic front end of the truck, it tends to swirl into the rear truck bed and catch on to the tailgate. As a result the truck loses several miles. However the lid covers have a tight, aerodynamic shape that covers the drag-prone open bed. Hence the air hits the lids and passes past the vehicle.

The best part is that it looks good also. The lids are available in a range of smooth leather grain patterns as well as custom color matched style.

All these benefits and features make these fiberglass truck lids a must have for your pick up truck.

Pinstriping Designs - How to Get That Perfect Look

Adding a pinstriping design to your car or motorcycle will instantly make it stand out from the crowd. Each pinstriping design is unique, creating a personal touch to any vehicle. Since the designs are so intricate, no one design looks the same. You can create pinstriping designs using templates with grooves, tape stencils, or the most difficult method, freehand. Each design consists of two colors, the main body and the line. With either method, your vehicle will stand out and show your personalized style.

The first design method is also one of the most common the use of templates. These templates are a great way to begin pinstriping because it gives you a guide throughout the project. By choosing templates containing grooves, you are able to create a design consisting of different depths and textures. This method of pinstriping also allows a variety of colors to be utilized with more simplicity. Using the templates also allows the work to be much neater.

The second method of creating designs are tape stencils. Tape stencils for designs are available in a large variety of different applications. While applying tape stencils to create your design it is very important to use specific pinstriping brushes. These brushes will ensure the quality of your pinstripe. A benefit from the use of tape stencils is that it allows you to apply multiple colors without waiting for the other applied stripes to dry. This method of application is an excellent way to experiment with pinstriping.

Freehand designing is the most difficult and is an extremely intricate process in the application of pinstripe designs. This process, unlike the others, requires much more practice to master the art of pinstriping. Although this method remains very difficult, it holds no restrictions during the creation of your pinstripe design. In order to keep the pinstripe design organized and neat, masking tape is required to be laid down as an outline of the design.

It is important to remember paint can easily drip under the edge and so auto body masking tape should be used while creating your freehand pinstriping design. After using this method your pinstriping will express your individual artistic flavor more so than stencils.

Although it is ultimately up to the designer, two colors are usually used while creating pinstripes. The first color sets off the body of your vehicle. The second color commonly used is the color for the thin line that contrasts and may decide how many colors will be included in your pinstripe design.

Pinstriping paint holds fast to steel and painted surfaces, allowing the design to remain over a period of time. No matter what method of application used pinstriping designs add a distinctive look to your vehicle. Just remember the materials chosen should always suit your artistic level as you create your intricate pinstripe designs.

Custom Truck Wheels - Express Yourself

Many years ago a truck was, well, just a truck. They were tough working vehicles used for hauling goods and getting to work and not a whole lot more than that. These days the term "light truck" refers to a variety of vehicles including pick-up trucks, SUV's and vans. These "light trucks" account for approximately 25% of all vehicles on the road and they are considered to be much more than just a "work truck". In fact, for many people the light truck is their only vehicle or their main source of transportation. A current trend includes adding details including custom truck wheels to personalize the truck and express the driver's personality.

Styles To Choose From

Custom truck wheels come in a wide variety of designs and sizes. The average sizes range from 17 inches up to 24 inches in diameter and every size in between. When choosing the size you would like for your truck, it is a good idea to take into consideration the cost of tires since getting "unusual" sizes may cost more especially for a truck since the tires need to be rated "heavy duty".

Another consideration for the size of your custom truck wheels is the effect that size has on the overall appearance of the truck. A simple change such as going to a slightly smaller or larger wheel size can have a large impact on the look of the truck and the statement that the truck makes about your personality. Some people prefer to use two different sizes with slightly smaller wheels on the front and larger wheels in the back.

Effects And Designs

The designs are virtually unlimited and range from ultra-shiny chrome spikes to dazzling rhinestones. You can express yourself in many different ways with custom truck wheels and make your truck one-of-a-kind. Your truck may have an "outlaw" appearance with black wheels accented by silver studs or a "jetsetter" look with polished chrome and rhinestone accents. Maybe you would prefer a superhero image with a spider web design on your wheels which could be carried over into a custom paint job with Spiderman on a web?

Other custom wheels create an optical illusion that the tires are spinning backwards and get your truck extra attention when you are out on the road. Your options are as unlimited as your imagination. "Pimping your ride" is as easy as choosing a custom truck wheel that compliments your truck and your personality.

Shopping For Them

Finding custom tires these days couldn't be simpler. You can get them at most tires stores and the most unique wheels can be found on the internet for a reasonable price. Many of the online stores include a free downloadable instruction guide to assist you in installing the custom truck wheels yourself saving you even more money.

No longer just an old work horse out on the farm, the modern truck has evolved into almost a work of art. Your truck has become almost an extension of yourself and people will recognize you while driving down the road by the unique look of your truck.

Truck Auctions - Discover A Real Price Of A Used Truck

Trucks usually fall under the category of commercial vehicles and with the increase in their sophistication; it is no surprise that their costs are as big as their size. This is one of the primary reasons why people generally go for used trucks as these cost not only much less than their new versions but are also very durable and can be put to the same use. Paying for the truck requires the user to do a lot of research on his needs and his affordability. Some factors which increase the price of the truck are:

o Size: Larger the size, larger the price.

o Type of loading: A truck which is self loading costs more than the one where the loading is manual.

o Multi axle trucks are more expensive

o The age of the truck also determines the price as newer the truck, the more expensive it is.

o Trucks that fulfill heavy towing needs are costlier. Hence do not buy this kind of a truck if your towing needs are not heavy. You would be wasting money then.

Make a checklist of the following things before you buy a used truck.

o The amount of time that the truck has been used.

o Distance travelled by the truck.

o Insurance and its date of expiry if it is still valid.

o Take the vehicle on a test drive on different types of terrains to see how it reacts to different road conditions.

o Ask a trusted mechanic to inspect the vehicle thoroughly and come up with the list of faults the life of the engine and other important parts.

o Look at your available finances and see if your purchase meets your needs and at the same time is not too heavy on you pocket.
